Vale Inco's exploration is focused primarily on nickel, both as nickel sulphides
and as nickel laterites. Vale Inco is a world leader in this area, applying the
latest technology in the search for low-risk resources near its processing facilities
in Ontario, Manitoba and Voisey's Bay, while also evaluating higher-risk,
under-explored environments on a global basis. Vale Inco carries out exploration on
its own and through joint ventures with partners.
